A few local 5k's later, some friends convinced him to try a half and then a full marathon. Fast forward to today and has become the clubs designated ultra guy, running everything from local 5ks to 100 milers, his fastest 100 coming in at 19:30. His favorite distance is 50 miles, of course it has to be on trails. This year he has really gotten bitten by the cycling bug and plans club rides. He has been a member of the club for 12 years, served 2 years as Vice President and is currently serving his 4th year as President. Howard has a great passion for the club and is always looking to bring in new members. He was born and raised on the Cape and lives in Harwich with his wife Tammy, they have three wonderful children. His wife is a walker and his daughter Sadie has the gift to run.VICE PRESIDENT: MARY DUCHESNEY![]() Mary has been a member of the CCAC for 8 years, the last two years she has served as Vice President. She is an active volunteer and has been Team Captain for the CCAC Relay For Life Mid-Cape Team for 3 years. She loves running marathons and many of the local races here on the Cape. Mary lives in West Barnstable with her husband John and their 5 children.vice president, Triathlon team: Chris CremaChris is the CCAC Co-Vice President and has been the director of the Cape Cod Triathlon Team since 2013. He has been racing Triathlons for over 20 years and enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle with his wife and daughter, both of whom are often seen along side him at club events and races. He is determined to continue the growth of the triathlon team and is most inspired by new members that are looking to get into the sport. Treasurer : Tracy Long SECRETARY: SUSAN EASTMANSusan joined the CCAC about 7 years ago and was elected secretary in April 2015. She has been a runner for nearly 11 years and became a certified adult distance running coach through the Road Runners Club of America in 2014. She helps co-coach a Wednesday night track group at Barnstable High School in the spring through fall. Susan has worked at the Cape Cod Times for over 20 years as Assistant to the Editor. Along with her duties she lists the local road races and writes a blog called FITchat. She lives in Craigville. |
