Bruce Fordyce speaking at Boston Marathon- 14 April

I belong to the Heartbreak Hill Striders running club in Boston, and we are sponsoring Bruce Fordyce at the Boston Marathon this year.  Bruce is one of the top ultra runners of all-time: current WR holder for the 50 mile and 9x winner of the Comrades Marathon (90km).

Our club is putting together a presentation that Bruce will make on Saturday, April 14th in Brighton at 2 p.m.  Would you mind advertising this talk to runners in the Cape Cod Athletic Club who might be interested in listening to him speak?

Thanks for your consideration!

Regards,

Errol Yudelman

lower cape triathlon

Hello,

This summer on June 16, WOMR-FM / Lower Cape Communications, Inc. will present in Wellfleet the 2ND annual Lower Cape Cod Sprint Triathlon, aptly named “What a Race in a Most Beautiful Place.” Produced by Myya Beck of Heart Core Fitness Studio in Wellfleet, this event is forecasted to bring more than 100 triathletes from Cape Cod and the greater Boston area, plus their loved ones who line the road to cheer them on.

Triathletes will compete as individuals or in relay teams, racing through a 1/4-mile swim in Long Pond, an 11-mile bike loop and, finally, a 3-mile run. At the end of the race, everyone is invited to the Wellfleet Beachcomber to celebrate the accomplishment with food, drinks and local musicians who are donating their time and talent for the event. The triathletes are responsible for raising $200 plus registration fees as individuals and $300 plus registration fees as teams, with all proceeds shared between WOMR-FM and the Wellfleet Montessori Pre-School.

Do you want to help raise money for such a good cause? Why race and be a part of this event?

·      Encourage a healthy event and travel to the lower Cape for a competition.

·      Exposure to a group of people, with common interest, and be part of a sanction USAT event.

·      Support Cape Cod kids by donating to the Wellfleet Montessori Pre-School, and local radio WOMR-FM.

I hope to see you at the race!  If you have any questions or need additional information please feel free to contact me. All are welcome!

For now, thank you for your consideration and Happy Spring!

Sincerely,

Myya Beck of Heart Core Fitness, Race Director

Dear CCAC,

I would like to invite you and your running club to the American Running Camp.  This is an overnight training camp at Portsmouth Abbey School in Portsmouth/Newport, Rhode Island. The camp will take place July 30 – August 4, 2012 and is open to adults of all abilities.

Portsmouth Abbey offers multiple fields to train on as well as six-lane track and fitness center. It is located only eight miles from downtown Newport which makes it very convenient to travel to the beaches, restaurants and shops. I will have excellent coaches in attendance to teach training and racing techniques and provide workouts and lectures. In addition, there will be many social activities planned for everyone in downtown Newport and at Portsmouth Abbey.

Thank you in advance for considering this camp and please call or email me for more information.

Sincerely,

Matt Centrowitz
Director, American Running Camp
