It’s almost here – the 2nd Annual Cape Cod Triathlon Team Training Camp opens Friday and with almost 30 athletes already registered, this will be one serious training weekend that you won’t want to miss. And even if you’re a single-sport fanatic, there’ll be plenty to learn from our coaches from Boston Performance Coaching, Endurance Swimming and Athlete’s Companion. Plus, there’ll be lots of time to unwind as we setup camp in the back reaches of Nickerson State Park. Register now for a day or the whole weekend and come get lost in the woods! [More Information]

It is with profound sadness we have learned of the death of Marilyn Baker. For those of you who knew her, you were extremely lucky. Marilyn was an incredible athlete, a fierce competitor, an amazing friend and phenomenal volunteer. For years, Marilyn would show up to volunteer for the Women Running Wild 5K or the Osterville Library road race, an hour before I would. I never had to ask her to do something, Marilyn took over and knew how to run the show. Her love of the sport, coupled with her passion for helping others, made Marilyn a gift to us all.
My deepest sympathies go out to her husband David and her entire family. In a little over a week, we will have the 14th Annual Women Running Wild 5K, I suggest we show Marilyn how much we loved her and how much we appreciated all her hard work for the running community by making this the biggest WRW yet. All proceeds of this event go to the Marilyn Baker Scholarship Fund – let’s give her something to be proud of.
