WALK ‘N MASS VOLKSSPORT CLUB FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE HYANNIS MASS. SEASONAL WALK Enjoy ocean views and beautiful homes on the Hyannis Mass. seasonal walk event. The walk route includes the JFK Museum, the Cape Cod Melody Tent and the Kennedy Family Compound. The walk route passes through Veterans Park, home of the JFK and Korean War Memorials and overlooks Hyannis Harbor. The walk event is scheduled April 11 – November 20 starting at the Heritage House Motel, 259 Main Street, Hyannis, Mass. (800-352-7189) daily from sunrise to sunset. Ask for the Walk Box at the front desk. The walk route is 10 kilometers (6.2 miles). The trail is rated easy suitable for strollers but not for wheelchairs. Leashed pets are welcome but clean-up laws apply. The walk is sponsored by the Walk ‘n Mass Volkssport Club. Volkssporting events promote fun, fitness and friendship by providing non-competitive walking and other sporting events free to the public. Volkssporting also offers an achievement awards program. WALK ‘N MASS VOLKSSPORT CLUB FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE WALK AND BIKE OLDE CAPE COD SANDWICH, MASS. -Seasonal walk and bicycle events are available in Cape Cod. The Walk Event is available April 1-December 4 with a choice of a 6 or 10 km (3.7-6.2 mile).trail. The walk route passes Heritage Museum and Gardens with 76 acres of landscaped grounds. A boardwalk crosses a salt marsh providing a breathtaking view of Cape Cod Bay. The 6 km walk requires a short drive (less than ½ mile) to the start route. The Bike Event is April 10-December 4. The entire route is on the paved Cape Cod Canal Recreation Trail. The trail passes a vertical plate railroad lift bridge, the Aptucxet Trading Post, and the Bourne and Sagamore Bridges. The total route is 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) on a flat easily traversed trail. The start point for both the Walk and Bike Events is the Stop and Stop and Shop Plaza, 65D Route 6A, Sandwich (Tel: 508-833-3288). Ask for the Walk Box at the Service Desk.
