A familiar face at New England races and a frequent visitor to the Cape, Tri-Valley FrontRunners founder and leader Larry Olsen suffered a fatal heart attack this past Sunday while out on a training run in Milford. The Winter Grand Prix starts this Sunday at 11:00 AM in Dennis! Eight races to keep you warm and loose through December and January. Run hard, run for fun, run fast! Races are $10 and all are welcome although you must be a club member to score any goodies at the annual banquet. See the [Full Schedule] and [Directions].

Join your fellow club members in our assault on the USA Triathlon National Challenge Competition. Log your mileage in the pool, on the bike and on the run for December, January and February and send it to ccac@capecodathleticclub.org on a semi-regular basis. We’ll log it on the Challenge website as we take on clubs across the nation in this raw volume competition. You must be an active USAT member in order to participate but don’t worry if you don’t do a lot of swimming or biking or running … every mile counts! To get involved, send your USAT member number and your age on 31 December 2009 to ccac@capecodathleticclub.org and then start logging the miles. And if anyone would like to coordinate a few group hours in the pool or a couple of hours on the trainers in the gym, send us an e-mail and we’ll put it together.
