Here’s our annual list of all Cape Cod entrants for this year’s edition of the Boston Marathon.  Those watching from home can track their favorite runners (and how well the CCAC teams are doing) with the provided bib numbers at the BAA website.  After results are posted, we’ll have all the relevant stats for your perusal here too.  If we missed you, send an e-mail to ccac@cape.com and we’ll add you to the list.  Race hard!

Boston Marathon weekend rapidly approaches. Now that you’re in to your taper, you’d better consider your calendar for the weekend. On Saturday, visit the gigantic expo – on Sunday, catch the women’s Olympic Marathon Trials, and on Monday, after you’re completely exhausted from running or cheering, unwind in the CCAC room at the Lenox Hotel. Right at the finish line of the marathon, all club members are welcome – just mention that you’re with the CCAC and they’ll direct you to the right room.  And good luck on Marathon Monday!

Spirit of the Marathon will be returning to the east coast as a prelude to Boston Marathon weekend.  The nearest screenings on 17 April will be in Hyannis at the Cape Cod Mall Cinemas and in Kingston at the Independence Mall Theaters.  Tickets can be ordered on-line.  There will also be showings in Boston, Bellingham, West Borough and Marlborough.

The Chatham Harbor Run announces that on-line registration is now available. This is the 30th running of the Harbor Run and it will be a beautiful day to run along the Chatham seaside. If you aren’t up to 10K, consider joining the 5K walk administered by the Chatham Walkers. See you there!

(Dennis, MA) – Virtually unchanged, officers and board were (re-)elected at the April club meeting. Notable changes: Masterson steps off board, Navas leaps on board and into VP position. All positions accepted uncontested by those present and deemed of sound mind (but not necessarily of body).
